CSK AUTO INC., WARRANTY

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and only to the vehicle in which the part is originally installed and used.

This warranty applies only if the part purchased is installed on a private, non-commercial vehicle.

This warranty, expressed or implied, is limited to the warranty period listed on the receipt.

Warranty is in effect from date of original purchase.

This warranty is limited to the retail price paid for the part. NEITHER WARRANTOR NOR MANUFACTURER SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES INCLUDING, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES RESULTING FROM DEFECTS IN THE PART. This warranty does not cover miscellaneous expenses for removal, installation, service, towing or down time, nor does it cover materials, labor, or additional parts required for replacement or repair of damages caused by abuse (including fire or wreckage), misuse, neglect, or failure to follow manufacturer’s operating and/or installation instructions.

If a warranted part fails during the warranty period, you may receive an adjustment by removing the part from your vehicle and then presenting the warranted part and your receipt at any of our stores. To receive the adjustment, all terms of the warranty must be met.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. Therefore, the warranty exclusions and/or limitations may not apply to you.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR BATTERIES

Warranty is in effect for each new battery purchased from date of original purchase and expires at end of warranty period stated on battery label. Warranty applies to original purchaser and is not transferable if/when vehicle ownership changes.

Warranty varies with product purchased. Calculating from original date of purchase, CSK warrants that it will replace the battery at no charge if it fails during the free replacement term as shown on the battery label. After the expiration of the free replacement period, CSK will replace the battery for a prorate amount as stated on the adjustment chart found on the battery label from original date of purchase for each new battery purchased.

A battery that fails because of improper installation, another faulty part, low fluid levels or other abuse is not covered by this warranty.

Warranty does not apply to non-marine batteries installed in marine applications.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR BRAKES

The warranty on brake friction parts is limited to manufacturer defects only. The warranty does not cover friction parts with normal wear or that are worn unevenly, which may be an indication of faulty brake calipers.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR CLUTCHES

To obtain a warranty adjustment for a clutch disc, pressure plate or clutch kit, proof that the flywheel was machined or replaced at the time of installation is required and MUST be presented at the time of the warranty adjustment request.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR REMANUFACTURED ENGINES. TRANSMISSION AND CYLINDER HEADS

All warranties, express or implied, are the responsibility of the engine, transmission and cylinder head remanufacturer. CSK AUTO INC. (“CSK”) THEREFORE DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED OR STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE, relating to the engine and the products sold by the engine remanufacturer to the extent allowed by law. CSK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. The remanufacturer’s warranty is included in the packet with the engine. Read it carefully. It may include limitations and exclusions that may affect your compensation in the event of a claim.

FOR SALES IN CALIFORNIA

Regarding the engine, transmission or cylinder head and the related products from the engine, transmission or cylinder head remanufacturer sold in California, CSK sells the products AS IS and WITH ALL FAULTS. The entire risk as to quality and performance of the goods is with the buyer and the remanufacturer that makes the warranty. Should the goods prove defective following their purchase, the buyer and the remanufacturer that makes the warranty, not the retailer, have the responsibility for the entire cost of all necessary services or repairs.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR CARBURETORS

If you have any questions or problems with this carburetor, follow the information provided with your carburetor before returning to the store.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSORS

The warranty period of the Air Conditioning compressor will be:

1. One Year-if the receiver drier or accumulator and orifice tube are replaced at the same time as the compressor.
2. No Warranty-if the receiver drier or accumulator and orifice tube are not replaced at the same time as the compressor.

RETURN POLICY

A RECEIPT IS REQUIRED FOR ALL RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

If you present the original sales receipt and unused merchandise, in resalable condition, in original packaging including accessories within 60 days from the original date of purchase we will gladly exchange the merchandise or issue a refund based on the method of payment:

  • For purchases made by check, the check will be returned when possible. If we are not able to return the check, 5 days must have elapsed from the original date of purchase.
  • For purchases made by credit card, a credit will be issued to the original credit card.

    It may be necessary to ask for identification for return transactions.

    We reserve the right to limit or refuse to accept the return of certain products.

    An exchange receipt does not serve as an original receipt.

    Warehouse Order items may be returned within 21 days from the original date of purchase with the original sales receipt.
